Gary Gould, marketing director at Mitel, spoke about Mitel’s expertise in unified communications and its direction for the future at Cloud Expo Europe.
Some businesses find themselves unable to keep up with the changing world in which they operate, and find themselves falling behind.
That’s not the case for Mitel. Founded in 1972, the company now thrives in the cloud industry, doing everything from voice and video to instant messaging.
As a unified communications firms with 70 million users worldwide, Mitel’s job is to make communications seamless for its customers. That’s according to Gary Gould, marketing director.
Cloud is key to everything Mitel does. From the supply side, Gould says, it’s the product of choice. And from the demand side, it provides many advantages, particularly in terms of scalability and speed.
Serving a multitude of companies – from very large to very small, in different sectors and verticals, means Mitel has risen to the top and become the number one unified communications company in Europe.
Over the next few years, Gould argues that we should expect to see an increase in vertical and sector-based applications – something which Mitel supports – whether it’s popular choices such as Salesforce or very specific uses in sectors like healthcare.
And with the wealth of experience that the company possesses, it’s a prediction that’s worth noting. Despite their experience, the team at Mitel is showing no sign of slowing down. According to Gould, there’s a focus on innovation, particularly in areas such as IoT and artificial intelligence.
